hunter ring with rider Zoe Kirsch of New Jersey, but he's
become one of the 'faces' of Prestige Saddles advertisements both in the US and Europe.

Solomon Farm welcomes top class Westfalen stallion Pilox for 2013 Stallion Lineup!
January 2013
Thank you to Dreamscape Farm, Langley BC, for giving us the opportunity to own this great stallion!
Mention the unmistakable name Pilox, and everyone knows who your talking about. A top stallion who has himself competed to the advanced level
of show jumping, including Puissance classes in Germany, has sired several approved sons in Germany, and has also sired horses
competing at the international level of show jumping.
Rare and valuable genetics.. Sired by the legendary Westfalen stallion Pilot. Pilot was the youngest showjumper millionaire that
has ever existed among Germany's stallions, by the end of 1999, Pilot progeny had earned a staggering DM 6,250,000.
Pilox is one of
the few Pilot sons still standing at stud, anywhere in the world.
Pilox has proven himself an outstanding stallion, producing foals that are graceful, well put together with correct conformation, and
that often show similar color characteristics to their sire. Pilox has sired several approved sons in Germany including
Prezioso OLD also owned by Highlife Farms. Prezioso OLD qualified for the Bundeschampionat in 2001 and 2002, Prezioso OLD
is currently showing very successfully in the Grand Prix jumpers both in Europe and in the US under Olympian Lauren Hough (left).
Pilox is still sound, healthy, kind, strong and fertile at 22 years of age - he's pictured jumping here two years ago
in 2010 (photo right). We are honored to stand this noble stallion of such proven genetics, and are looking forward to his 2014 foals.
Call or email to learn more about breeding to Pilox.

Frost means Fall has Arrived...
October 7th, 2012
The 2012 Solomon Farm RPSI Keuring was a Success! See how we did on our
Inspection Results Page...
Overall, the foals scored well and made us proud, both in terms of their conformation and movement. We had a few
Superstars too - take a look! Pictured here are High Scoring German Riding Pony colt SF Solaris (Snapdragon x Hope Floats
- Dewan)and SF Rumor Has It (Rotspon x Pr.St.Damsel - Der Graf).
With the hard frost comes the planning for winter, and the work to keep training progressing, and get videos made
before snow flies. Here are some images of the two year olds learning to free jump, and enjoying the lovely fall days!
We have some wonderful 2 and 3 year olds for sale this fall... They are growing up and filling out and showing off
their powerful movement - we also have seen what kind of talent they have in store over fences, as Dominico, Desire, Designated
Driver and Double Entendre have new free jumping videos from their 1st or 2nd time over fences!
The riding horses are getting ready for winter too - some of them are planning to head south to Ocala for the winter!
All in all, the summer of 2012 has been a super productive time, with an excellent foal crop, and perhaps most exciting
of all, the addition of the Grand Prix jumper star Justice (Ramiro Z x Joost - Rigoletto) to our stallion lineup.
We are expecting 10 foals from Justice in 2013 - check out our
Expected Foals for 2013!
Thanks to Wendy Davis of October Hill Farm for the opportunity to own and stand such a fabulous stallion, from the
royalty of sport horse breeding bloodlines!
Introducing the Foals of 2012...
July 11th, 2012
Here they are! Starting in May, through the beginning of July we've
been watching mares. Now is the time to glory in the new faces - each one a unique expression of his or her genetics and
upraising - we are truly excited about the foals of 2012!
Keuring time will be interesting.. Some of these foals are pretty special movers. We have every color, type and
size this year - from the blingy German Riding Ponies by Snapdragon, to the big leggy bays and grays by Le Mode and Der Graf, to the
exciting additions from the frozen semen tank by Rotspon, Stakkato Gold and Gold of Capri.
Check out Damsel's Rotspon filly Rumor Has It, Leda's athletic Stakkato Gold colt, Moulin Rouge's Le Mode filly, SF Goodnight Moon's flashy
palomino by German pony Gold of Capri, SF Motown's SF DeLorean by Der Graf, Die Finesse's super Le Mode colt,
and of course our own unique SF Solaris, a palomino sabino colt by Snapdragon ...
Now we're focusing on the riding horses, so we'd love to have you
stop by and see how the youngsters are coming along under saddle. We have four truly talented four year olds preparing for their career
in sport, as well as ten three year olds, just getting introduced to under saddle work. We love to welcome visitors - come meet the foals,
and see this land of dramatic vistas, river breaks, and grass, as far as the eye can see... 2012 has been a year of changes here on Solomon
Farm, and we're proud to show you all we've accomplished. We're offering young-horse raising and training packages, here on the farm,
and we think you'll be intrigued by the possibilities for raising your next dressage, jumper, hunter, or eventing star here on
the rolling plains of South Dakota, under the expert eye of our professional crew.
Just two left to go...
June 17th, 2012
We're almost there! June is the time of year to enjoy the beautiful South Dakota sunsets (thanks for this gorgeous
picture to our assistant trainer (and former working student!) Serah Volden!!) and especially, to count our blessings for the
fifteen beautiful sport horse and pony foals gracing our pastures and broodmare stalls
this time of year. We're happy to report that the quality of the foals is consistently very high this year.
Just Daydream Believer (Le Mode) and Abbey and Martijn's mare Renovate (Alexandro P) is still waiting. We've been blessed with a rainbow selection
of fabulous foals... pictures coming soon!
Keuring Results are in... Solomon Farm earns top nationwide results!
September 14th, 2011
We have FIVE stallion prospects from our 2011 foal crop! SF D'Artagnon (Der Graf x Leda - Le Mode) blew us away with his movement,
and scored an impressive #2 in the nation overall score of 8.6! SF Ladies Man (Le Mode x Damsel - Der Graf) tied with D'Artagnon
with an 8.6 overall - both of these colts are top prospects for sport or breeding. SF Donatello (Der Graf x Robin - Rainbow), now proudly owned by Heidi Harris of
Seattle, WA, scored a super 8.8 on movement, 8.5 overall, for a TOP FIVE placing overall too!
SF Spirit lives up to expectations! This exquisite 2011 golden buckskin sport pony colt by Smoke Tree Snapdragon out of our LeLady Katy by Le Mode tops the RPSI North American
keuring tour results with an amazing 9.0 for exterior, 8.6 for movement and 8.8 overall! Another top sport pony colt sired by
Snapdragon is SF Starbucks, who scored 8.0 overall and was also named a stallion prospect - even though he sadly lost his mother
the day he was born, he is growing up to be an impressive pony prospect... he is an AMAZING mover.
Solomon Farm foals scored higher on movement than ever before... Check out our impressive fillies too - with Die Finesse and Waltzing Mathilda
topping keuring results with their first-born fillies by Le Mode - Lovin Feelin' and La Minuette! Our grand, old ladies Kelly (Leopard x Postillion) and
Rosie Time produced gorgeous Gold Premium fillies as well, SF Daquiri and SF La Bonita (we're planning to keep both of these fabulous
little ladies for our broodmare herd in the future!) Fall of 2011 is shaping up well here on Solomon Farm - take a closer look at our

A Summer of Rain - and Outstanding Foals...
July 7th, 2011
We're done foaling! Starting in March, through July 7th (Kansas just blessed us with a beautiful bay baby boy by Le Mode!), we've
been watching mares. It's exciting to see them arriving - but we're glad to get on with the rest of the summer as well!
Keuring time will be interesting.. Some of these foals are pretty special movers. We have every color, type and
size this year - from the elegant little gems of German Riding Ponies by Snapdragon, to the big leggy bays and grays by Le Mode and Der Graf.
Check out Damsel's colt Ladies' Man, Leda's spectacular Der Graf colt, Moulin Rouge's Le Mode filly, Robin's Donatello, Die Finesse's super Le Mode filly,
and of course our own buckskin stallion of the dakota plains, Lelady's Spirit, by Snapdragon ...
Our arena is not weathering the, um, weather very well, but the grass
is up past the horses' bellies, and looking over the rolling green blanket of hills and draws is a daily blessing. We love to welcome visitors - come meet the foals,
and see this land of dramatic vistas, river breaks, and grass, as far as the eye can see...
First Foals of the Year!
March 31st, 2011
Congratulations to Sympa's little sister Double Talk ("Gabi") on a fantastic first foal -
Dark Moon was born on the coldest
day in March (ten below zero!), under a waning crescent moon - exactly like the crescent moon on her forehead! We are excited about
this powerful, and typey, black filly, from our very best mare line, and by a fabulous-moving young stallion prospect, Dushambe. Gabi will be started under saddle later this summer, then presented
at her mare inspection at our RPSI keuring in September.
Our second foal of the season is our first sport pony of the year - a beautiful
bay colt with 3 socks born on the spring Equinox. A first foal for
Goodnight Moon (Gleiniant Shane (Welsh A) x Nightshade - Meisterwind), by the
young Der Graf son Dushambe. Not only is he cute as a bug... but he can MOVE! Congratulations to these two fine first-time moms on
these exciting additions to Solomon Farm's foal lineup - born in ice and snow and during one of the worst river floods in memory - these foals are
what makes spring so exciting here on the farm!
