Keuring Results are in... Solomon Farm earns top nationwide results!
September 14th, 2011
We have FIVE stallion prospects from our 2011 foal crop! SF D'Artagnon (Der Graf x Leda - Le Mode) blew us away with his movement,
and scored an impressive #2 in the nation overall score of 8.6! SF Ladies Man (Le Mode x Damsel - Der Graf) tied with D'Artagnon
with an 8.6 overall - both of these colts are top prospects for sport or breeding. SF Donatello (Der Graf x Robin - Rainbow), now proudly owned by Heidi Harris of
Seattle, WA, scored a super 8.8 on movement, 8.5 overall, for a TOP FIVE placing overall too!
SF Spirit lives up to expectations! This exquisite 2011 golden buckskin sport pony colt by Smoke Tree Snapdragon out of our LeLady Katy by Le Mode tops the RPSI North American
keuring tour results with an amazing 9.0 for exterior, 8.6 for movement and 8.8 overall! Another top sport pony colt sired by
Snapdragon is SF Starbucks, who scored 8.0 overall and was also named a stallion prospect - even though he sadly lost his mother
the day he was born, he is growing up to be an impressive pony prospect... he is an AMAZING mover.
Solomon Farm foals scored higher on movement than ever before... Check out our impressive fillies too - with Die Finesse and Waltzing Mathilda
topping keuring results with their first-born fillies by Le Mode - Lovin Feelin' and La Minuette! Our grand, old ladies Kelly (Leopard x Postillion) and
Rosie Time produced gorgeous Gold Premium fillies as well, SF Daquiri and SF La Bonita (we're planning to keep both of these fabulous
little ladies for our broodmare herd in the future!) Fall of 2011 is shaping up well here on Solomon Farm - take a closer look at our

A Summer of Rain - and Outstanding Foals...
July 7th, 2011
We're done foaling! Starting in March, through July 7th (Kansas just blessed us with a beautiful bay baby boy by Le Mode!), we've
been watching mares. It's exciting to see them arriving - but we're glad to get on with the rest of the summer as well!
Keuring time will be interesting.. Some of these foals are pretty special movers. We have every color, type and
size this year - from the elegant little gems of German Riding Ponies by Snapdragon, to the big leggy bays and grays by Le Mode and Der Graf.
Check out Damsel's colt Ladies' Man, Leda's spectacular Der Graf colt, Moulin Rouge's Le Mode filly, Robin's Donatello, Die Finesse's super Le Mode filly,
and of course our own buckskin stallion of the dakota plains, Lelady's Spirit, by Snapdragon ...
Our arena is not weathering the, um, weather very well, but the grass
is up past the horses' bellies, and looking over the rolling green blanket of hills and draws is a daily blessing. We love to welcome visitors - come meet the foals,
and see this land of dramatic vistas, river breaks, and grass, as far as the eye can see...
First Foals of the Year!
March 31st, 2011
Congratulations to Sympa's little sister Double Talk ("Gabi") on a fantastic first foal -
Dark Moon was born on the coldest
day in March (ten below zero!), under a waning crescent moon - exactly like the crescent moon on her forehead! We are excited about
this powerful, and typey, black filly, from our very best mare line, and by a fabulous-moving young stallion prospect, Dushambe. Gabi will be started under saddle later this summer, then presented
at her mare inspection at our RPSI keuring in September.
Our second foal of the season is our first sport pony of the year - a beautiful
bay colt with 3 socks born on the spring Equinox. A first foal for
Goodnight Moon (Gleiniant Shane (Welsh A) x Nightshade - Meisterwind), by the
young Der Graf son Dushambe. Not only is he cute as a bug... but he can MOVE! Congratulations to these two fine first-time moms on
these exciting additions to Solomon Farm's foal lineup - born in ice and snow and during one of the worst river floods in memory - these foals are
what makes spring so exciting here on the farm!
