Lumina is solid mahogony bay mare, branded premium Rheinland Pfalz-Saar. She is by the Trakehner jumper stallion Impression, by Ibsen, out of Mega Howey (main mare book RPSI TB),
a lovely 16.2 hand mare and proven producer. Pictured above 9 months pregnant, in the spring of 2004,
Lumina is simply a lovely mare, impossible to overlook. She is
powerful and substantial, with huge ground-covering, gaits, and a gorgeous head and neck. She has a huge, round canter and swinging walk.
Lumina showed talent and rideability under saddle before beginning her career as a broodmare. She is an in-hand
winner in the USDF breeders series, and she has produced
three (100%!!) FIRST premium foals, Rapunzel (owned by Tanya Pohlmann of Tolland, CT), Lumiere,
a 2003 colt by Le Mode, and Dolce Vita, a July, 2004 filly by Der Graf. Lumina is bred back for a 2005 foal to Der Graf. This is sure
to be one of our most stunning foals of 2005, and what a dressage prospect!
