Duke is a beautifully bred, big moving young gelding by our imported 17.1 hand Rheinland Pfalz-Saar stallion Der Graf (Donnerhall x Pik Koenig), and out of Comtesse, a premium-rated Oldenburg mare. Duke will be big boy, and he's such a sweetheart -- this will be a perfect horse for the ambitious adult amateur or junior rider. He's already easy to ride, and he has the kind of elastic, floating movement that promises a career in the show ring. He also free jumps REALLY well -- WOW! He could have a career as a hunter or a dressage horse... Duke stands 16 and a half hands now at two plus years, and looks to mature around 16.2 hands. He's lightly started under saddle and is going to be super easy to go on with. Bred to perform, and raised the way horses were meant to grow up -- lots of room to run on rolling hills and prairie valleys, along with correct basic handling as a youngster.
