Lumiere is a July 19th, 2003 gelding by our imported stallion Le Mode, out of one of our best mares, Lumina (PREMIUM 16.2 h. Rheinland Pfalz Saar mare by Impression (Trak.)).

Lumiere has excellent rideabilty and trainability, and he shows considerable talent free jumping -- this is a gelding that could do the jumpers or go on in dressage. He has a huge step, and when he's free jumping, he just gets loftier and more careful as the jumps get bigger! Lumiere is going to be a big horse -- he stands 16.3 hands as a three year old, and should mature around 17 hands. Lumiere is well started under saddle, walk-trot-canter, and is easy to ride and wonderfully calm and cooperative. He's ready to go on, and looks to be an excellent prospect for the show ring. Lumiere went to his first schooling show and behaved like a gentleman, taking every new thing in stride! This gelding will be a super show horse.
