Magdalene is a June, 1998 15.2 hand branded Rheinland Pfalz-Saar mare by Gonzo I out of Nightshade (by Meisterwind -- Donauwind (Trak.)). This black mare with two hind socks and a star has a big floating trot and a lot of presence under saddle. She's quite substantial, and moves like a much bigger horse. She also loves to jump, and free jumps with impressive form and a calm, rhythmic stride. This mare should be very competitive in the hunter ring. Magdalene comes from a long line of successful show horses. Magdalene has had six months of professional training in dressage, and shows a particular talent for lateral work under saddle. Magdalene is easy to handle, trailers willingly and calmly, and stands well for the farrier and vet. She is green for her age, however, and while she wants to please, still requires an experienced rider. Magdalene also produced a FIRST PREMIUM foal at her first try at motherhood and is both riding and breeding sound! She is bred for a July, 2005 foal by Der Graf, our outstanding young Donnerhall son. This should be a spectacular moving foal with excellent prospects for the dressage ring.
