Nightshade

Nightshade is a proven producer of dressage and hunter prospects. By the black FEI dressage stallion
Meisterwind (Donauwind x Mahagoni) and out of the winning event and dressage show mare Pine Song (QH), Nightshade
is one of the foundation mares of my broodmare herd. Not only is she black and beautiful, but she
passes her lovely floating trot on to all of her offspring, as well as her clever, curious and personable
nature. She is my personal favorite mare, I must admit, and she is as fun to ride as she is a great
producer of riding horses. Nightshade was my first sporthorse foal, from my very special show mare
Pine Song. Nightshade's foals, from a variety of stallions, have been top notch. Peregrine (2000 colt by
Pennant) and Evensong (2003 filly by Ex Libris) were FIRST PREMIUM foals in the top THREE in the nation,
RPSI. Magdalene (by Gonzo I) is a beautiful black mare like her mother. See also her
wonderful foals Rook, Kestrel and Izod, all making their owners very happy, all around the USA.
Her 2004 colt Icelander, by Ishmael, is hard to overlook as well!
Watch for her 2005 foal by the proven hunter sire Just the Best -- this foal is contracted on already, and is sure to be one of our favorites!
