Pilox is a top stallion who has himself competed to the advanced level of show jumping, including Puissance classes in Germany, has sired several approved sons in Germany, and has also sired horses competing at the international level of show jumping - notably the great Grand Prix jumper stallion Prezioso OLD (photo right), ridden to so many successes by Olympian Lauren Hough.


Grand Prix winner, in the 1988 Seoul Olympics Pedro with rider Wolfgang Brinkmann was on the gold medal winning German, Pirol / Lesley Mc Naught, P.S. Priamos / Ludger Beerbaum and Dirk Hafemeister, Prinzregent 7 / Norbert Koof and many more. Pilot continues to have a very strong influence in today sport horse breeding his offspring proven themselves to be amazing jumpers, outstanding dressage horses and talented hunters.

Pilox 's dam Anja, was awarded with the Westphalian Breeder’s Association premium and was show winner a number of times. She derives from Angriff, who was one of the most significant sons of the magnificent thoroughbred, Angelo xx. Then in the third generation there is the procreator of showjumpers, Argwohn I, who was the most important son by far, of the Hanoverian, Argus. Argwohn I became the sire of Aramis, who had resounding showjumping successes with Klaus Reinacher and Franke Sloothaak for many years, before continuing his career in the USA. He furthermore produced the powerful jumper, Argot, who had extraordinary showjumping successes with Ulrich Kirchhoff and Elmar Gundel.

Pilox absolved his stallion performance test in Warendorf in 1994, with way above average scores in the forefront of his age-class. Following wins in showjumper competitions, he had successes at Federal Championship level in showjumping and was also victorious in the advanced class. Pilox also enjoyed success competing in Puissance classes in Germany.

Pilox has proven himself an outstanding stallion, producing foals that are graceful, well put together with correct conformation, and that often show similar color characteristics to their sire. Pilox has sired several approved sons in Germany including Prezioso OLD, also imported by Highlife Farms. Prezioso OLD qualified for the Bundeschampionat in 2001 and 2002, Prezioso OLD showed very successfully in the Grand Prix jumpers both in Europe and in the US under Olympian Lauren Hough and is one of the very few horses to be awarded the special OLD from the German Oldenburg Verband. Pilox also sired Pidgley who qualified for the Bundeschampionat as a 6 year with a score of 8.7, and Prince of Magic. Another Pilox son, Pro Savage HLP was runner-up in Adelheidsdorf, Champion of Oldenburger state riding horse in Rastede, participated and was a placed finalist in the Bundeschampionats in 2000.
