Beginning next year, you can escape to a place where your only distractions will be quality time spent on horseback, comfortable accommodations and meals, and experiencing nature across 4,000 unspoiled acres. That place is Solomon Farm, and our location in the beautiful White River Valley of west central South Dakota is the perfect spot for a vacation that you will remember forever.
Our dressage vacation packages will include daily lessons from a choice of trainers, opportunities to trail ride and join in the everyday activity of a working horse farm. You can attend lectures and hands-on lessons on topics of health, breeding and training, and have one-on-one video evaluation sessions with a trainer in our media room.
Or you can just relax in our comfortable lodge building, select a movie or book from our extensive library, get a chess lesson from an International Chess master, and much more. We have German, French, Spanish, and Hungarian speaking staff for the comfort of our European guests. Your stay can be as busy or relaxing as you choose!
Opportunities to ride western, and help at round-ups and brandings are also available for those who would like to experience a real taste of the American West. Our ranch abounds with wildlife and fishing opportunities too. We offer seasonal, guided hunting packages for mule and white-tailed deer, pronghorn, pheasant, grouse and prairie dogs. We can even combine your riding vacation with other non-equestrian activities for a friend or spouse who may not share your enthusiasm for horses.
Off the farm, you can visit nearby state and national parks, historic sites and other popular tourist destinations. Our location, just a few miles off of Interstate 90, allows for easy access to many interesting and fun area attractions.
Please check back soon for details on accommodations and rates. Or, sign up for our free email newsletter for the latest updates on our vacation packages and other Solomon Farm programs.
We look forward to hearing from you, and hopefully seeing you next year on Solomon Farm!
"A world of grass and flowers stretched around me, rising and falling in gentle undulations, as if an enchanter had struck the ocean swell, and it was at rest forever…"

Summer Journey in the West (1840)
